Rehabilitation Services
The Palace at Home is a Medicare certified home health agency (since 1997). Under the direction of patient’s physician, our healthcare professionals provide patients covered under Medicare, the following rehabilitation services:
- Physical therapy
Our team works together to help patients regain physical function and improve their range of motion. Therapists assist and train patients in tasks such as gait training, operation of wheelchair & walkers, artificial limbs and pain control. - Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants assist patient to regain independence in the performance of their ADL's (activities of daily living) such as eating, grooming, bathing, dressing. - Speech & Language Pathology
We implement the latest speech therapy techniques to train patients in learning to better use and comprehend language. Our goal is to improve the independence and quality of life of our patients by regaining their written, spoken and nonverbal communications as well as their functional independence in swallowing.
Our team of healthcare professionals includes: Physical Therapists(PT), Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA), Occupational Therapists (OT), Occupational Therapy Assistants and Speech Therapists (ST).
Our goal is to maximize patient’s functional independence at home and educate the patient and any caregivers with tools to implement on a daily basis. Typical cases that are referred to the Palace at Home Rehabilitation division are patients with the following conditions:
- Stroke/neurological disorders
- Joint replacements
- Visual impairments
- Post-traumatic injuries
- Arthritis
- Amputation
- Head injury
- Spinal cord injury
- Fractures of upper and lower extremities
